Measuring success

A small number of metrics, collected monthly from your existing admin systems, is enough to tell you whether the rollout is working. Here's what to track so you can show progress to the GMSA and ICB.

  • Referral completeness. The percentage of incoming referrals with a QGenome report attached. Aim for 50% or more by month six, and 80% or more by month twelve.

  • Rejection rate. The percentage of incoming referrals rejected for inadequate information. Expect this to fall as more referrers start using QGenome.

  • Time to triage. The median number of days from referral received to triage outcome. Expect this to fall as less time is spent chasing missing information.

  • Active users in your region. The number of clinicians actively using QGenome each month, reported by Clinibee. This gives you an early signal of uptake before it shows in your referral data.

  • Clinician satisfaction. A single question in your letter footer or on your QGenome landing page: 'Did QGenome help you complete this referral?' Simple to run and gives you a direct line to referrer experience.
